Celebrating the Extraordinary in the Everyday

It would be silly to ignore that we are all feeling ready for 2020 to be over, as we don't know what will happen day to day... or moment to moment for that matter! But one thing that I've noticed, that is good, true and consistent, is the beauty in the world around us!

Have you noticed the beautiful fall colors? Have you felt the cool autumn breeze? Did you buy a few pumpkins and mums this year? (I love the little white ones the best! Which is your favorite? ) It's a good thing to appreciate these little things. Focusing on gratitude and praising God through the day sure does help!

When I paint, it really gives me the opportunity to think with eyes of thankfulness and wonder. Asking myself, how do I show the beauty of this object using the unspoken words of paint? And how, do you as the viewer, share in this conversation with me? My hope is that the painting of the said subject then leads us to a discussion about goodness and grace - and that everything is going to be okay...because as we know, God is in control.

Blessings,

Kristin

P.S. I hope you will take the time to go through and see if any paintings speak to you. What are they saying to you? I hope that they will bring you some moments of joy and beauty! (I will be adding more paintings over the next week - and will also include some gift-able art, including Found Blessings prints, small paintings and ornaments, just look under the Found Blessings section.)
