Hello Art Friends,
I do hope you are doing well! I can't believe that we are in August! How did that happen? While I had anticipated doing some art workshops over the summer, family needs took priority, including helping our oldest daughter to plan a fall wedding...THIS FALL!
That being said, I wanted to offer a couple of workshops before school really gets rolling! Get out of the heat and join me in the cool surroundings of Blue Oak Trading Company for an afternoon (or two afternoons of painting!)
(Student discounts are available if you have a young person, 12 yrs or older. The student must attend with a guardian.)
Here's the details:
On Friday, 8/15/25 from 1pm-4pm, we will paint "Summer Surprise" where you pick from the flowers I bring (we keep it to a few) and I'll help you map out a painting...either flowers tied with a bow, in a vase, or floating.
On Saturday, 8/15/25 from 1pm - 4pm, we will be painting the 2nd in the Three Hearts series, "The Immaculate Heart of Mary."

So what should you expect when you come paint with me?
Come with the expectation that you will paint something beautifully and joyfully done by your hand, even if it isn't "perfect."
My hope is for all of us painting (including me) to experience a few hours of friendship, fun and creativity.
What does "done by your hand" mean? I will not be painting on your painting - you do it all on your own! I will lead you and give you guidance to enhance and correct things. I want you to know that you painted it, not me! And the paintings will not look identical - because like handwriting, your brushstrokes are unique to you!
No experience required! Experienced artists are also welcome! And any skill level in-between! I will do my best to make it a joyful time!

P.S. I will be scheduling additional art workshops and will try to do so with more advance notice! I'd love to paint pumpkins and fall flowers with you - and continue with the Three Heart series!
